Our Backyard Paradise

My grandfather at his 80’s tires easily, and most of the time you’ll find him at his room.  He also had problems sleeping and most time he seems irritable.  My mom said that maybe having a garden would help my grandfather relax, the sight of trees and flowers always made her feel at peace with the world.  There was no harm in trying, and if it did work, it can also serve as decorative in our home.

We decided to have water gardens put up and a few edging to separate the lawn from our planting beds.   Of course, we didn’t want to damage our flowers with a mower or grass trimmer.  After the whole process of transforming our backyard into a garden, with water gardens, my grandfather took dramatic changes in his personality and attitude, he is  now more relax and less  irritable, staying outdoors really helped a lot.  He spends most of his day at our backyard paradise, looking at the fish in our water garden, or doing a little weed cutting and trimming.  Thanks to our edgings, my grandfather never, not once, did he cut or damage any flower beds in our backyard paradise.
