These are in the form of physical stock certificates issued to the investors, the number of which, is distributed or shared, depending on the amounts of investments. In the instances when a company grows beyond the capacity of their current investors to finance, the company has the option to go public, or sell a portion of their stocks to outside investors in a Share Market, like Stock Market India. This sale allow outside money to flow into the company as additional capitalization to finance their expansion or growth. These stocks are then traded by the outside investors among themselves.

Stock trading is usually done at the stock market trading floor by licensed traders. People need to approach these persons and their affiliates to trade. However, due to advances in computers and communication, Online Stock Trading is now possible through the internet. This allows more people to earn through stock trading.
