My old high school was preparing for its annual one-week homecoming event this Christmas. Different workgroups were established, focusing on a particular activity of the event, there were people in charge of decorations, invitations, food and refreshments, souvenirs, guests, venue, and etc. I was then in the workgroup which was told to handle the guest lists. It was hard work since we had to do research on the alumni, getting their names and addresses were tedious work.
Gathering up all the yearbooks we can get, we felt that it was not enough. We had to think of an easier way. While brainstorming on endless possibilities of advertising, a friend suggested of web hosting. We create a website with details and contact numbers, regarding our homecoming event, and interested alumni could just contact us for reservations! It will be effective and less tedious than making individual invitations and mailing it.
